2011 "People' Choice Award" Awarded to Charles P. Goodman
The "People's Choice Award"2011 winner was announced during the SAA's Arts Alive Weekend "Wet Paint Show" reception. Congratulations go to Charles P. Goodman for his work "Rocks." It was selected as the winner of that show by "popular vote." Painted at Lighthouse Point, his acrylic work, skillfully depicts the intricate structure of the point's rock walls. This is a first time in the SAA's Plein Air Event for Charles. Almost twenty other artists painted over the course of the weekend ranging in age from 17 to 87. A new addition this year was a children's watercolor class taught by Gallery artist John Cornacchio. Congratulations and thanks to all those who took part. The weather was the biggest challenge, ranging from cold to hot to rainy over the course of the weekend.
